Bowls and Automatic Feeders
Bowls and Automatic Feeders – Recommendations from Our Cattery
Discover the bowls and automatic feeders we use every day in our British Shorthair cattery. These are trusted products for clean, hygienic, and consistent feeding, all tested in real-life conditions.
Food bowls may look simple, but the right material, shape, and stability make a big difference in daily use. These are our recommendations, based on years of hands-on experience in our cattery, where we use different types of bowls for dry and wet food, as well as selected automatic feeders.
As breeders, we know how important it is that bowls are safe (plastic-free), easy to clean, and don’t slide across the floor. We recommend automatic feeders only in the later stages, once a cat has developed a stable feeding routine.
On this page, we’re sharing the bowls and feeders we use and recommend: ceramic and stainless steel bowls, and proven automatic feeders that support consistent feeding, even when you’re not at home.
Stainless Steel
Cat Bowl, Stainless Steel Wide Flat Feeding Bowl for Cats
Simple, practical, and aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean, and we have no problem putting it in the dishwasher. We recommend getting at least two right away, one for food, one for water.
Ceramic Bowl
Trixie White Ceramic Cat Feeder
We use it for cats that prefer eating in a more comfortable position, the elevated height and slight tilt really make a difference. The ceramic build is heavy and stable, and the little paw prints on the sides give it a charming look.
Automatic Feeders – Simple Models
Automatic Cat Feeder with Timer
We use it when we’re not at home, the food is dispensed exactly on schedule. It’s easy to program, stable, and large enough to hold several days’ worth of dry food.
PETLIBRO 5L WiFi Automatic Feeder
We use it because it’s reliable, quiet, and convenient, feeding is scheduled in advance through the app, and we know everything runs smoothly even when we’re not at home. The food stays fresh, and the bowl is made of stainless steel.
